Meanwhile, In America...

Day 20 cont.
After we arrived in telluride some of the group went on a hike or walked to see some waterfalls which was really beautiful. It was a guy from the other group, murphy’s, birthday so everyone went out that night to celebrate. The first bar we went to was a proper dive and there were creeps there that had been arrested, much to some of the guys amusement. Me jason dan and jodie played a shooting game and I was an absolute beast and came second yay! We moved onto another bar that had strongbow, think I got a bit too excited about that! Also me judy and vicki spent too much money putting mcfly on on the jukebox!

Day 21
We drove to Moab in Utah which is where the group Are at the moment, stopping off at the arches national park on the way, the scenery was sick so I’m gunna try upload some pictures soon, we also saw baba deers in the park :) about 9 of us went out that night, me Vicki and judy were the only girls so it was a nice girls night :) Moab is quite a hippy town so the bars were full of people off there faces dancing around with no shoes on, so funny! There was a live reggae band though who were awesome!

Day 22 
The morning consisted of doing washing and people uploading pictures! In the afternoon a few of us went quad biking through the desert, we got up to speeds of like 50mph, it was frickin awesome! In the night some of us went to go see the avengers for a much needed night off!

Day 7
We travelled from Miami to Florida keys stopping off at an alligator park on the way and I got to hold a baby Alligator yay :). Once we got to the campsite, which is the most stunning campsite ever. That night me, judy and Rhys stayed up untill seven to watch the sunrise and pissing about.

Day 8
Most of the group did a watersports day off the island. I went jetskiing parasailing and banana boat, all of which were a struggle on one hours sleep and a hangover! We went on a booze cruise in the evening, free drinks fuck yah, and then out on to the strip cos it was cinco de mayo! Such a good night :)

Day 9 
Chiller day by the pool, by this point were all such good friends so it was nice to relax and catch up with family :)

Day 10
Orlando woohoo! As me and Kat are pussies we went round universal studios together avoiding the rollercoasters! Halfway through the day we met up with the others from our group who said that slash was playing at the universal hard rock cafe for $30 that evening. I think other than the sunrise night this has definitely been one of the best nights, seeing slash in a venue smaller than academy! The weather was shit so when we arrived back at the campsite it was a nice surprise that we’d booked cabins to stay in!

Day 11
This day just contained to much excitement to describe. We went to universal studios islands of adventure which is where the wizarding world Harry potter is! I started off the day quite apprehensive ride wise but by the end of it I went on the hulk, which is the biggest ride in the park! So proud :) Harry potter world was the highlight of my life. Spent far tooo much money but yolo ;)

Day 12
We had a long drive to a place called destin in florida so we arrived pretty late, just in time for a massive thunderstorm and to walk to the beach to see the sunset. In the evening we were talking about horror movies which shat me up specially as we were going caving soon :(

Day 13 
We headed to new orleans and checked into a hotel which was gorgeous, I was sharing a room with vicki. After we’d eaten jambalaya we got ready to go out onto bourbon St. They have these drinks called hand grenades which are 90% proof alcohol, needless to say it was a messy night!

Day 14
Woke up hanging to the max so I went to go fester with judy and caz who are sisters from Surrey and soo lovely! We went out for lunch in new Orleans and walked round, it’s crazy to see some of the hurricane damage that still hasn’t been fixed :(

Day 15
We went to San Antonio and both groups went out for a mexican meal before going to the rodeo! Henry got so drunk and then attempted the rodeo bull which was hilarious, intact pretty much everyone was hilarious :)

Day 16
We went to San Antonio for shopping and to visit the Alamo, which was where Davy Crockett fought over the ownership of San Antonio. We started to have a girls day shopping but then decided to go with the lads to a shooting range.

Day 17
We travelled to carlsbad and went down the caverns, shat myself as it was literally the descent! Everyone was really mean so I ended up running round listening to atomic kitten :( we stayed in cabins at the campsite and played drinking games and sang along to joe and Henry playing guitar which was pretty cool!

Day 18
We drove to roswell and looked round the UFO museum looking complete knob ends in aluminium foil hats! We drove to santa fe and had the most amazing Mexican food in the evening :) cos it’s desert conditions it’s boiling during the day and freezing at night so early night!

Day 19
We drove from Santa fe to Durango stopping off at an ancient Spanish civilisation ruins for a hike round. On the way to the campsite we went through a dust cloud and a rock hit the window shattering it. Whilst we were all huddled on the side of the motorway some woman came and offered us snacks and drinks, Hobojoe and hobohenry were standardly the first people to accept! Anyway we now have a duck taped window for a few days yayy!

Day 20
Today! We drove to telluride in colorado which is a ski resort in the mountains, great for hikes :/ haha, i shot gunned the front seat for the drive and subjected everyone to hours of s club 7 and spice girls ;)

So far this has been one of the best experiences of my life. Other than the odd bouts of home sickness and hangovers everyone’s lovely and the trip is so filled you’re constantly doing something.

Day 1 We arrived at Newark airport in new jersey the night before and net up with the trek group the morning of the 28th. Because so many people are doing the trek its been split into two groups of 14, your group being the people you camp and travel with. Mine has 7 girls and 6 guys, all of which are British apart from 3 Aussies and one guy from.Holland. We set off to Washington dc which was like a 7 hour drive, eurgh. Once we got there it was pouring it down and we had to set up our tents, I’m sharing with a girl called Vicki whose really nice :). We did an illuminated tour.of all the monuments, which was pretty impressive, my favourite one was the Abe Lincoln monument. Headed back to the campsite and went straight to sleep as it was toooo cold and rainy.

Day 2 We had a day walking round Washington dc, which was a massively busy day. The group all went to the natural history museum and then split off into groups. From there me, caz, Vicki and Judy went to the national archives where we got to see the declaration of independence and the constitution. We then visited the air and space museum and aslington cemetery where JFKs eternal flame is. After walking past the Whitehouse (and seeing Obamas children) the group all had pizza below the Washington monument which was really nice and we saw Eric Olsen who’s in the best film, fired up. Back to the campsite for a few drinks where one guy, Anthony, got completely wrecked and passed out haha.

Day 3 We left Washington early and headed to north Carolina, when we arrived we went to an old peanut plantation which was self sustaning throughout the 1800-1900s. There were 64 slaves there and the owner supported the northern states in.the civil war, hoping to emancipate them after, which is pretty rare for north Carolina. We went to the campsite and set up the tents and just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Day 4 We went to charlston south Carolina and went to the beach during the day then had a wander round. Some of the group went out during the night and Anthony got arrested for pissing on a cop car, oops.

Day 5 Went to st augustine which is in Florida, and had a trip to the beach again. We then went shopping round the town and ended up going to a bar with really good live country music. Another night round the pool and hot tub.

Day 6 Travelled from st Augustine to Miami and once we were there, around 2pm we walked round the town and then to the beach. In the bus there whoevers in the front seat is dj, todays was pretty shit so me Judy and Joe had to entertain ourselves with travel games yayy. Both groups went out for a meal in the evening, then went to two of the bars in Miami. So glad I have fake Id as it seems to be working fine so far :)

Today Were going to Florida keys which is meant to be amazing, its also cinco de mayo tomorrow, a Spanish holiday so its going to be even better! Before the trip I thought id have ten weeks of not drinking but my livers going to be fucked by the end of it!

Been in New York for two days and I love it. In clubs and bars they have like designated beer pong tables and everyone’s so interesting. Last night we met the best couple, she was a professional dancer that was in the step up films, so sick!
